These articles answer the questions that come up on quotes over and over: whether a tree needs to come out at all, what council will and will not allow, what the wind and the sandstone are doing to your tree, and where the money in a quote actually goes.

Then what

If an article convinces you the tree needs work, the removal, pruning, stump grinding and palm pages cover method, and the cost guide covers price. Local conditions by suburb are on the service areas page. For anything urgent, call (02) 9538 7974.

Frequently asked questions

Why do these articles have odd web addresses?

The site was rebuilt from an older WordPress install whose blog posts were never edited after installation. Those addresses had been published and indexed for years, so rather than delete them and break the links, each one now holds a genuine article about tree work in the Sutherland Shire. The address is legacy; the content is not.

Where should I start?

If you have been quoted for lopping, read the article on topping first. If your block backs onto bushland, read the 10/50 explainer. If you are about to pay for a stump, read the grinding comparison. Everything else on this site is organised by service and by suburb, and the cost guide explains pricing.
